SOULINKS: Connecting Past and Future
I am so excited to share SOULinks: Pursuing Multi-Generational Significance. A book based on research from the Department of Sociology and the Institute on Aging at Boston College. It suggests that today’s elders are more depressed and isolated than at any other time in history. They have become “irrelevant” and unneeded. And, today’s young adults are also depressed and disheartened more than ever, because they are fearful about their futures and haven’t lived enough life to see through it. This research has captured my attention and pulled my heartstrings. My new book, in addition to explaining the research, profiles 10 stories of unlikely deep connections between these two cohorts and the magic that has transpired. Enjoy this blog and book is available on Amazon.com and Barnesandnoble.com. Happy Spring!
